Gather Ingredients for Your Shake

To make a fruity protein shake, you’ll need:

  • 6 frozen strawberries
  • 1 fresh or frozen banana
  • 1 cup of skim milk
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of protein powder


Combine Ingredients into a Shake

Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Ice is not needed thanks to the frozen fruit added to the recipe, but if the mixture is getting stuck in the bender, consider adding a dash of milk or juice to soften it up again and let it mix correctly.


Enjoy Your Protein Shake

Once the protein shake is mixed properly, enjoy it. It’s fun to serve these sorts of shakes in a special cup or glass, but they can be enjoyed out of anything, of course.

How to Make an Acai Berry Smoothie

Acai berries are one of nature’s super fruits – a food that has super antioxidants that can help improve your health and boost your energy and levels of alertness as well. Acai can be used in many fashions, but to get the maximum health benefits, the juice and acai berries should be kept cold. When prepared, they should not be cooked making an acai smoothie an excellent choice to enjoy the benefits of acai.

While smoothies aren’t the only way to enjoy the antioxidant powers of acai, they are one of the simplest. In fact, even children are capable of making an acai smoothie by combining ingredients and blending. Invest in a plastic blender, however, if you plan on allowing children to use it a glass blender can be heavy and potentially more dangerous should it slip out of your child’s hands.

Acai Berry Smoothie Recipe

Combine the following ingredients in a blender:

7 Oz (200 grams Acai Juice)
½ Cup Soy Milk or Juice
Fruit (one banana, ½ half apple, or 1 cup of other fruit)

Blend the ingredients until smooth. Banana makes for the smoothest tasting drink, but others might be more suited to your taste and digestion.

Serve the smoothie in a bowl or goblet. Top the smoothie with whipped cream, fruit or granola.
