Always a fine tradition, St. Patrick’s Day is known for kissing the Irish and that famous green beer. If you’re dying to try your luck with your own green beer this March, try this recipe:
- Grab your favorite light beer. You can use a dark beer, but your color might not turn out as clear.
- Take a bottle of green food coloring out of the pantry or buy a new package at the grocery store. (You can find food coloring near the cake mixes and icing.)
- Pour the beer into a mug.
- Add 3-5 drops of green food coloring.
- Stir.
- Enjoy!
An alternative would be to add 1-2 drops of blue food coloring instead of green. The blue food coloring mixes with the yellow beer to make a dark green beer. The green food coloring makes a paler green, but the blue is more of a dark forest green – the choice is yours!
Easy Step By Step
- Just add green food coloring to a light beer
- Stir
- Enjoy
Warnings, Advice, and Suggestions
Stir the food coloring in well to make the green of your beer even. If you’re making a green pitcher of beer, you can add more drops of coloring to find the exact right shade.
