The United Kingdom is one of the best Europe trips to take. The UK has a rich history and culture and is an excellent place to visit. Getting to the island nation is far easier than you might imagine. Currently there are three ways to travel to the UK.

The Eurotunnel

If you are in France, you can take the Eurotunnel to the United Kingdom. To use the Eurotunnel, you reserve a spot for your car in advance. Check in up to two hours before your scheduled departure with a full car of passengers and luggage. Then, once your passports and other documentation has been checked, you’ll drive into an air conditioned carriage that you and your vehicle ride in all the way to the UK.

The ride through the Eurotunnel takes thirty-five minutes and there is shopping, fuel and refreshments on both sides of the tunnel. Tickets to ride on the train through the tunnel are comparable to business airline tickets, but as you pay for only one fare for a carload of people and equipment, the cost is more reasonable than flying.

Ferries

There are also ferries leaving France to travel to the UK on a regular basis. These ferries have various docks along the coast of France, but most travel from Calais, must the same as the Eurotunnel. Many of the ferries now operating can make the journey between France and England in less time than a few years ago thanks to newer, larger ships, but travel on the ferries takes approximately ninety minutes. A ferry trip is the least expensive means to travel to the UK, however.

Airlines

If you are traveling from any location but France, the only way to reach the UK, short of a very long boat ride, is by plane. When you fly to the UK, you will not have your own car, but that most likely will not be an issue. If you’re staying in a major city, or even a small town, a taxi and public transportation can provide all of the transportation you need. If you want freedom to travel the countryside, a rental car is easily available provided you know how to drive on British roadways.

Airline tickets to the UK are available online through airline websites. There are often specials on flights to the United Kingdom, so you should spend a bit of time looking for the best flight arrangements and playing with the time and dates of your travel to see if you can land a lower fare. Tickets to the UK are not cheap, but considering your alternatives, for most tourists, flying is most likely the best way to travel to the UK.

A European vacation is a dream for many people, but it can easily become a reality if you are familiar with methods to cut your costs while traveling abroad. If you are looking to travel, but can’t afford a planned package and just aren’t sure about the idea of backpacking and youth hostels, find out how to explore Europe on a budget.

Get to Europe Cheaply

The first step in your budget vacation is to get to Europe for as little money as possible. You can start your airline search with main carriers from the United States or Canada, but if there are not amazing specials available, you should also be sure to check European budget airlines. Be creative with your flights. See if it’s cheaper to fly to a lesser known city and then drive to others. Are certain countries more expensive than others? Spend time researching and searching before buying.

When you have a found a low price ticket, buy it and start packing – you are most likely leaving soon as last minute deals are often the least expensive.

What to See in Europe

After arriving in Europe, regardless of actual country, plan your itinerary. This might also be good to do on the plane as flights are long. European travel destinations are plentiful, and short of staying for years, there is no way to see everything on a single trip. So decide ahead of time if you want to simply skim the surface of Europe to see as much as possible, or if you want to concentrate on a few destinations and explore those choices thoroughly.

Getting Around Europe

However you decide to spend your time, make at least a rough itinerary of the most important things to be sure you see those. Then begin working out travel arrangements between destinations. Transportation options between cities and countries include airlines, buses, trains, and rental cars. Each can be expensive depending on your exact destination and requirements, so be sure to research and compare prices before booking any travel within Europe itself. Don’t forget to consider public transportation or even cabs if they are reasonably priced, safe and available.

Spending the Night

There are plenty of tricks to inexpensive housing. Teenagers and college students take advantage of youth hostels, but these may not be a viable option for you. Explore them to see if you meet the criteria and are comfortable with the idea. Many budget hotels exist, and inns can be found off the main roads that might be willing to negotiate a lower rate. If you are renting a car, you have the option of sleeping in it if you can get comfortable and find a safe place. You might also travel long distances by train at night where you can reserve a berth.

Cut Corners

Finally, cut corners whenever you can. Skip the restaurants in favor of street vendors and small cafes. Most pubs and bars serve food which may be less expensive than restaurants. Even convenience stores sell hot food in many locations, so take advantage of that option to help save money. Look around for deals and ask friendly locals if they know of any special rates on popular destinations. Be friendly and always try to negotiate – you never know, it just might work!

After you have made an established website, you have many options in which will allow you to turn a profit. If you’re looking for a long term cash flow you can get some money your site using Google Ad Sense or other pay per click companies, cpm advertising companies or by selling links for a monthly fee.

One method of getting quick cash is by selling the website. There are many ways in which you can make your site appeal to other webmasters and help you get a successful fast sale. Often, a quick in and out deal is the way to go.

The first thing you should decide when considering the sale of your website is the amount of money you would be happy with if someone was to offer you a ‘buy it now’ price. You need to consider the time and effort that has gone into the sites production and advertising as well as the sites overall profit on a monthly basis. Obviously the more money your site makes, the more it will be worth to someone. Another major factor that makes the site appealing to others is the amount of effort needed to maintain the website. By using a CMS (content management system) it will make it easier to update as you simply log into a user interface and add the content with out any FTP details being needed. You can also set multiple accounts up so you can have people updating your site without any risk of deletion.

There are many different websites in which you will be able sell your site, it’s always best to add it to as many different ones as possible giving the maximum exposure and more chance of selling. It’s very popular that you auction off your site, you basically set a starting bid and people will look through the description and statistics given and bid accordingly based on how much they are willing to pay for it. You can also set a BIN price (buy it now) so if the bidding wars get a bit too feisty then someone can grab it instantly if they believe it has great potential.

Site point is a great site as it attracts some of best successful sites up for sale and only interested people will bid on your site and not waste your time. You can also advertise your site on certain webmaster forums which sometimes does provide a successful sale but can also give you more trouble then its worth. Unlike on the official sites that sell thousands of sites on a daily basis, the forums will attract many people that are just interested in how you got it successful and intend on copying the content, niche and style which is why you should be careful about the sort and amount of information you give out to people.

When listing your website you should provide a full description about your site giving the age, the approximate amount of back links, any successful search results in the leading search engines, amount of indexed pages, the monthly income and any other information that will strengthen the image of your site. After you have listed your site you will get inundated with emails asking for details and a BIN price if not set. People will always bargain you down as they will never offer the opening asking price so you need to be strong and don’t let your hard work go to waste.

After the sale of your site you still have to be careful, even if you have received the money. There are people who make a living out of scamming people, always use a safe method of payment, although pay pal is widely used people can claim a charge back for up to 60 days after the sale which will be hard to prove if you’re selling electronic good such as a website as you have no psychical delivery. Do it in stages to ensure you will receive the whole amount, first you can send the domain over to their registrar and then once you receive the remaining amount, send them a zip file with all off data for the website and don’t forget to push any databases your website uses.

A recommended method of payment is escrow as they hold the parties payment until both sides are happy that they have received their share of the deal in which the payment will be cleared to the seller with no hassle and no risk to either party.

Looking for a new TV? Sometimes bigger isn’t better, but often times it can be more fun. When you need a TV, choose the size wisely to avoid wasting money on too much television or straining your eyes to try and see your bargain buy.

Consider Your Location

Where is the television going to be used? This can make the most important distinction in television size. A TV for the kitchen is usually small, twenty inches or less, as it sits on the countertop and you don’t want it blocking any cabinets or hanging off. A television for the living room, on the other hand, should be large enough to be enjoyed by everyone. At the minimum, a family television should be twenty seven inches.

Consider Your Space

If you’re planning on putting your television on top of your dresser in the bedroom, you’ll want something small enough to fit the space easily, but large enough to see while laying in bed. You can opt for a larger television if you plan to use TV shelves to store cable boxes and DVD players as the shelves will put these bulky items above the television rather than beside it. If you have a television niche built in to your living room, find the size of television that fits more comfortably. Be sure to include the dimensions of any stands or carts as well.

Consider Your Budget

Smaller budgets will most likely be buying a smaller television. Of course, you might be able to buy a larger television with a less quality picture, but you’ll have to decide which is more important to you – size or graininess. Look around for televisions on sale to find a bargain on a high quality television in the exact size you need. If you’re forced to buy a small television now, never fear. There is always a place for a small TV somewhere in your home when you’re able to upgrade to the big screen.

Printer ink cartridges can be extremely expensive, especially if you do a lot of printing. If you want to try your hand at refilling ink cartridges, you’ll be saving yourself a bundle and learning a new skill that can help you out many times down the road.

Buy a Printer Cartridge Refill Kit:

The very first step in refilling an ink cartridge is to buy a refill kit. These kits include a bottle of ink, or bottles if you’re refilling a color cartridge, a syringe, and possibly a drill and calibration tool. Don’t worry; the process is much simpler than it might appear looking at the contents of a kit.

Prep Work:

Remove the cartridge from the printer. In a perfect world, it is not yet completely empty. If it still has just a bit of ink inside, the chamber is less likely to be dried up and it won’t clog.

Fill the syringe with the proper amount of ink. The instructions that come with a refill kit can give you instructions on how much ink to actually pull into the syringe. But as a very general guideline, black ink might be 17 ml and color ink is 8ml. Be sure to check your instructions, however, as you do not want to overfill your cartridge or have to repeat the process sooner than necessary.

Insertion:

Drill a small hole at the top of the cartridge. If your kit does not come with a drill, you can use a push pin or small nail. If you are refilling a color ink cartridge, you must put a hole at the top of each color chamber.

Then, slowly put the needle of the syringe into the chamber and very slowly press the plunger. The ink will fill the chamber slowly, and this is ideal. If you press the plunger too hard, the ink will foam and you’ll create pockets of air. Working slowly also lets you see if you are going to overfill the cartridge.

Clean-up

When the ink has been inserted into the cartridge, you can remove the syringe and start cleaning up. Let the cartridge sit and settle for a few hours while you wash out the syringe and let it dry. Then pack it away until you need it again. Any ink that was left in the syringe can be placed back into the bottle for future use.

Once the cartridge has had a chance to settle, insert it back into the printer. You don’t need to block the small hole you drilled. Insert the ink and let the printer run through calibration and print a few test and alignment pages before printing any of your own documents. Keep running a cleaning cycle if there are gaps in the ink flow.

Unfortunately, almost everyone lies at one point or another. It might be a friendly lie praising the cook for a meal that is actually almost inedible, or it might be a big lie like an affair or illegal dealings. If you suspect your spouse is lying, here are a few things that might give it away.

Look Into His / Her Eyes

In most liars, the eyes give it all away. A person who is lying often has a hard time casually meeting you gaze. And even if your spouse is comfortable in a lie, she might still unintentionally glance down or shift her eyes to the right or left while speaking. If you suspect she’s been lying to you, ask her a question or two about the topic in question. If she has a hard time meeting your eyes, has shifty eyes or tries to stare you down, you might have a valid case.

Are They Sweating?

Liars tend to get sweaty. They know they are in the wrong, and their body works overtime trying to maintain the adrenaline rush of doing something naughty. If the topic in question comes up and your partner suddenly seems flushed, hot and maybe even gets a few bead of sweat on her brow, she might just be overheating. But if she was cool and calm a minute ago, and suddenly looks like she’s been jogging, you might have something to discuss in depth.

Look At Their Posture

There are two kinds of posture which might give you a clue about your spouse’s honesty. If your spouse suddenly becomes jumpy or fidgety when those where not her characteristics before you suspect the lying began, you should investigate further. On the contrary, if she suddenly is aloof and cold, she might be distancing herself from you and her lie. Try to have a fun, friendly conversation with her. If you can’t pin her down and see your old spouse again, consider digging deeper.

Being Defensive

Finally, arguably the most obvious sign of lying is when your spouse suddenly becomes defensive and touchy on the hot topic. If she’s suddenly defending the man you both had enjoyed poking fun at or getting angry every time you bring up an unusually high credit card bill, dig deeper to find out what is really going on. She might just feel guilty for hurting the guy’s feelings, or she might feel guilty because she’s gotten to know him better – a lot better.

Marriage is hard work. When two people decide to share a life, everything is shared. The good stuff and the bad all live in the house with you, and sometimes the bad stuff can make things sticky. If you’ve hit a rough spot in your marriage, here’s how to resolve that conflict.

Identify the Conflict

The first step in resolving conflict is to figure out what the conflict is. There are all kinds of fighters, but the best kinds are not the ones who never seem to actually fight – they are the ones who take the time to figure out what they are fighting about.

If you and your spouse are suddenly at odds, immediately call a time-out. Even if you’ve just been insulted, avoid the temptation to lash back. Be the mature one and tell your significant other you want to take a few minutes to cool off so that the two of you can work this out.

Then work on figuring out why you are angry. Most fights are about symptoms, not causes. You are angry because he didn’t take the trash out, but if you stop long enough to really think about it, you might find the trash isn’t really the problem. The problem is that you asked him twice to take the trash out, he ignored both requests and you feel like he doesn’t value you.

Take Turns

It will seem rather elementary, but when you come back together, take turns. You might even use a timer or pass a feather back and forth to remind you whose turn it is to talk. If he’s still itching to fight, let him go first. Let him put it all on the table without interrupting or allowing yourself to get dragged into an argument. If he asks a question, try to avoid answering in the heat of the moment by telling him you’d rather just let him get it all off his chest before taking your turn.

When it is finally your turn, state your position calmly. Always state the problem in terms of yourself to avoid making him feel defensive (even if he should be) as this will slow down the resolution. Instead of saying, “You always make me feel worthless when you ignore me asking you to take out the trash,” try “I get angry when I feel like you’ve ignored a simple request like taking out the trash.” By making statements about you and your feelings rather than your spouse and his shortcomings you will almost immediately take the flare out of the fight.

Keep Your Cool

You can be angry. You can be furious, but you must keep your cool. Yelling might make you feel better now, but it will most likely only make a problem worse, not better. If your spouse starts yelling, ask him to stop. Simply tell him that you are interested in fixing this problem, and that you’d prefer to talk about it. If he can’t seem to stop, don’t respond in kind. Ask him to let the problem be for now and come back and revisit it later when everyone has had a chance to cool down.

Forgive Your Spouse

A problem isn’t resolved until both parties have moved past it. It’s hard to resolve every conflict by the time the sun comes up, but try to take care of as many as possible the same day they spring up. Discuss what is really bothering both of you then try to find a solution that is agreeable. Finally, forgive each other. Forgive, but don’t forget. Otherwise, you’ll just be having the same argument on down the road.

In our busy worlds, it can be very hard to actually find time to enjoy each other’s company. If you find you are always passing each other rather than slowing down to speak to one another, it’s time you figured out how to make time for your spouse.

Examine Your Schedule

If you’re constantly on the go, it’s not necessarily healthy for you or your relationship. Relationships need patience and nurturing and many don’t receive the care they need if you never have time to focus on romance. So the first thing in finding time to spend together is to look at what is already on your calendar. Make a daily list of things that you do so that you can see exactly how your life works and what your schedule looks like.

Trim the Fat

Once you’ve got everything on the calendar, start working through your schedule trimming the wasted time and eliminating activities. For example, if you drop your son off at karate, then go pick up your daughter before dropping her off at dance, would you save time by picking up kids up first, dropping them both off, and possibly swinging by to pick up the dry cleaning on the way to or from the activities?

Are you going to the grocery store more than once a week? Would a better list help cut down the trips, or would possibly going to a different store with a bigger selection be better? How many side trips do you make every day and do you really need to stay that late at the office? Can you work through lunch and cut out early a day or two a week, or even run errands during lunch to save time at the end of the day?

Expand Your Network

Once you’ve rearranged your own schedule, reach out to friends and family to see if there is any kind of help out there. Perhaps your daughter’s best friend goes to the same dance class. Could the friend’s mother drop the girls off and you pick them up? Or is your spouse willing to handle one child’s events while you take care of another? You might even be lucky enough to have grandparents nearby who would enjoy picking up the kids and having them over for the evening one day a week.

Schedule a Date

Finally, your new schedule should have some extra time. Immediate fill it up. But this time, you may only schedule two things. The first is time for you – you need time so that you don’t burn out or make yourself sick without adequate rest. The second thing to fill up that time is a date with your spouse. Write him in the calendar in ink. And put his name on your schedule at least once per week. Be sure your spouse has done the same.

Keep the Appointment

The hardest thing about making time for each other is to actually keep the appointment. Spending time together doesn’t have to be a big deal, and you don’t even have to leave the house. Play a board game together or make a special dinner – even if it’s a very late one. Open a bottle of wine and enjoy a romantic movie. Get in a routine of togetherness, and soon you’ll find that you count on that time together for its relaxation and predictability – a bit of calm in an otherwise crazy world.

A marriage is supposed to be forever, and the first few months of forever are easy enough. But as the years drag on, the bills pile up and the kids start arriving, the fun and games of early marriage start to fade away. But you can keep the romance and spirit of your marriage alive – it just takes a bit of work

Start Dating Again

The best way to keep the romance alive in a marriage is to remember what put it there in the first place. Go on dates as regularly as possible. A date is an outing where the two of you leave the kids behind with a sitter or set up a rendezvous with a movie and take out after the kids are safely in bed for the night. In short – no kids allowed.

Don’t just spend the "date" sorting laundry or running errands together. Sit close, cuddle and maybe kiss a little. Laugh at the funny parts of the movie and talk about your hopes and dreams. Enjoy your time together, even if it’s just a couple of hours a week – that may be all you need to stay connected and feel romantic.

Surprises

One of the best ways to show you care about someone is to bring them little treats and surprises that are meaningful especially to them. Candy, cards and flowers are always a nice treat, but if you know your wife is working hard to lose weight, swing by the yogurt store and bring home some fat free frozen yogurt in her favorite flavor. Or, buy her a romantic nightgown or dress to hug her new shape. Just be sure the surprise is for her not you.

Tender Words

A great many people are verbal communicators. They need to speak and hear the words to feel loved. But unfortunately, romantic words are often replaced with the basic tasks and instructions to get us through the day. If you find you’re not telling your wife how much she means to you, find little ways to tell her. Whisper it to her at dinner. Leave a small handwritten note by her sink. Buy a card and put it on her windshield first thing the morning so she can start the day off with a lift and a smile.

Behind Closed Doors

Finally, keep the romance alive by acting out that romance in the bedroom (or any other room of the house.) Keep things lively and interesting. Take turns on the kind of evenings you have. If you like sex one way, and she likes it another, alternate activities and foreplay so that nobody feels slighted or left out.

Look at new activities together to find something that both of you agree would be fun to try. Then have a good time – sex shouldn’t be boring. Find ways to make it fresh and interesting, even if it means stepping outside of your comfort zone or giving in to just one more massage before the real action gets started.

Boys complain about buying present for girls, but men are often very difficult to shop for. There is always the boring tie, or the useless gadget, but what kind of gift shows a guy you care? That, of course, depends on the guy! Here’s how to buy your guy a present.

Determine the Occasion

There are certain gift-giving occasions such as Christmas and birthdays where we feel obligated to give gifts. Even if you truly want to find a gift, there is an extra pressure of finding just the right thing. Other times, you want to give a gift simply because you were inspired to do so by something you saw on the store shelf of because it just seems like fun.

The occasion can make a difference in the kind of gift you buy. Formal occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Christmas and birthdays seem to demand larger, more expensive presents. Gifts given on a whim are often more of a token or in fun making them less expensive and less serious.

Look for Clues

Some men are thoughtful enough to leave clues or hints as to what they would like. Even if your guy is unaware of it, he may be leaving plenty of clues. A broken watch sitting on the counter is a bold sign. So are the shoes that have holes in the soles from lack of use and the dead plant on the counter. Look around his home to see what he needs, and listen to him talk to other friends to get clues as to what he would like to have.

Consider His Personality

You must also consider the personality of your guy. Is he the type of guy who would love beer stein and chia pets for Valentine’s Day, or is someone who would rather have a home cooked meal and candle light? Guys with a sense of humor are often easier to shop for than those who are more seriously romantic. There are simply more fun gifts than romantic ones for men.

Buy With Your Heart

Finally, buy a gift with your heart more so than with your head. You may have every indication that he wants a new golf club. You can buy him the golf club, but be sure you are enjoying the gift giving. If that means buying a humorous golf club cover to go with that club, by all means, knock yourself out. A gift is not an obligation, it is an item freely given by your heart, so be sure you select it with that same organ.
