How To Make Money With a Website

It seems that almost everyone has, at one time, had a fantasy about starting their own business, most of which involve using the internet and a website. In fact, due to the ever increasing ease of use, internet businesses are growing at a phenomenal rate. Unfortunately, 99% of web sites never make more than a few dollars each month.
So, how do you make sure that your website or home business is one of the 1% that actually makes some money?
- Take the time to do it right. – The internet is full of cheesy, cookie-cutter, web sites that offer no value to the reader. When you are building your website, take the time to make it look nice and ensure that is stands out fro the billions of other website’s on the net. If you do not have the skills to build a nice site yourself, spend the money to hire someone to do it for you.
- Provide the reader with something that is worth reading. – Most people use the internet for research or hobby reading on topics that interest them. Your website or home business MUST give free information that a reader will want to know. You don’t have to give away all your information or trade secrets but, you do have to offer an incentive that will keep a potential customer on your site long enough for you to get some money out of them.
- Use every method possible to make money on each visitor. – Let’s face it, even the most profitable business will not convert 100% of their visitors. However, you can increase your conversions by diversifying your revenue streams. If you sell a product for example, be sure that your product is not the only way you have to get money. Including ads, affiliate programs, and free trials are just a few ways that you can diversify your income streams.
- Build a community – A website is a great way to build an online community interested in your home business. Offering forums for people to correspond in and providing free answers to people’s questions can be a great way to "trap" a reader and keep them coming back to your site.
- Optimize your website for the Search Engines. – SEO or search engine optimization is the process of making your website easy to find and read by search engines. In fact, most web sites fail because nobody knows they exist. Look for a free e-book or hire someone to optimize your site. A SEO consultant can help you determine the best ways to have your site optimized and profitable. Zero traffic will always equal zero sales.
How To Tell if Your Spouse is Lying or Hiding the Truth
July 23, 2008 by admin
Unfortunately, almost everyone lies at one point or another. It might be a friendly lie praising the cook for a meal that is actually almost inedible, or it might be a big lie like an affair or illegal dealings. If you suspect your spouse is lying, here are a few things that might give it away.
Look Into His / Her Eyes
In most liars, the eyes give it all away. A person who is lying often has a hard time casually meeting you gaze. And even if your spouse is comfortable in a lie, she might still unintentionally glance down or shift her eyes to the right or left while speaking. If you suspect she’s been lying to you, ask her a question or two about the topic in question. If she has a hard time meeting your eyes, has shifty eyes or tries to stare you down, you might have a valid case.
Are They Sweating?
Liars tend to get sweaty. They know they are in the wrong, and their body works overtime trying to maintain the adrenaline rush of doing something naughty. If the topic in question comes up and your partner suddenly seems flushed, hot and maybe even gets a few bead of sweat on her brow, she might just be overheating. But if she was cool and calm a minute ago, and suddenly looks like she’s been jogging, you might have something to discuss in depth.
Look At Their Posture
There are two kinds of posture which might give you a clue about your spouse’s honesty. If your spouse suddenly becomes jumpy or fidgety when those where not her characteristics before you suspect the lying began, you should investigate further. On the contrary, if she suddenly is aloof and cold, she might be distancing herself from you and her lie. Try to have a fun, friendly conversation with her. If you can’t pin her down and see your old spouse again, consider digging deeper.
Being Defensive
Finally, arguably the most obvious sign of lying is when your spouse suddenly becomes defensive and touchy on the hot topic. If she’s suddenly defending the man you both had enjoyed poking fun at or getting angry every time you bring up an unusually high credit card bill, dig deeper to find out what is really going on. She might just feel guilty for hurting the guy’s feelings, or she might feel guilty because she’s gotten to know him better – a lot better.
How To Keep Romance Alive

A marriage is supposed to be forever, and the first few months of forever are easy enough. But as the years drag on, the bills pile up and the kids start arriving, the fun and games of early marriage start to fade away. But you can keep the romance and spirit of your marriage alive – it just takes a bit of work
Start Dating Again
The best way to keep the romance alive in a marriage is to remember what put it there in the first place. Go on dates as regularly as possible. A date is an outing where the two of you leave the kids behind with a sitter or set up a rendezvous with a movie and take out after the kids are safely in bed for the night. In short – no kids allowed.
Don’t just spend the "date" sorting laundry or running errands together. Sit close, cuddle and maybe kiss a little. Laugh at the funny parts of the movie and talk about your hopes and dreams. Enjoy your time together, even if it’s just a couple of hours a week – that may be all you need to stay connected and feel romantic.
Surprises
One of the best ways to show you care about someone is to bring them little treats and surprises that are meaningful especially to them. Candy, cards and flowers are always a nice treat, but if you know your wife is working hard to lose weight, swing by the yogurt store and bring home some fat free frozen yogurt in her favorite flavor. Or, buy her a romantic nightgown or dress to hug her new shape. Just be sure the surprise is for her not you.
Tender Words
A great many people are verbal communicators. They need to speak and hear the words to feel loved. But unfortunately, romantic words are often replaced with the basic tasks and instructions to get us through the day. If you find you’re not telling your wife how much she means to you, find little ways to tell her. Whisper it to her at dinner. Leave a small handwritten note by her sink. Buy a card and put it on her windshield first thing the morning so she can start the day off with a lift and a smile.
Behind Closed Doors
Finally, keep the romance alive by acting out that romance in the bedroom (or any other room of the house.) Keep things lively and interesting. Take turns on the kind of evenings you have. If you like sex one way, and she likes it another, alternate activities and foreplay so that nobody feels slighted or left out.
Look at new activities together to find something that both of you agree would be fun to try. Then have a good time – sex shouldn’t be boring. Find ways to make it fresh and interesting, even if it means stepping outside of your comfort zone or giving in to just one more massage before the real action gets started.
How to File for Divorce

No matter how well things are going, sometimes things just don’t work out as well as we’d like. If your marriage is crumbling and you’ve done what you can to save it without success, it might just be time to cut your losses and consider divorce. You can work with a lawyer to file for divorce or you can use do it yourself divorce papers to file quickly and with less expense.
Organize Yourself
The first step to filing for divorce is not to trot down to the county courthouse. Instead you need to trot over to the filing cabinet and organize all of your records. You need records of your home ownership, bank accounts, debt and assets. If you’re suspicious, or feel like checking for your own good, dig around to be sure your spouse hasn’t hidden any funds or assets from you that he or she might be sheltering from pending divorce proceedings.
Find the Right Documents
If you work with a lawyer, she’ll arrange documents on your behalf making the process as simple as reviewing standard paperwork and signing on the dotted line. Doing your own divorce paperwork isn’t much more complicated, but you’ll need to double check that you have everything you need and take care of the filing and data entry on your own.
Divorce criteria and documents vary by state. California divorce papers and terms are very different from New York divorce papers – especially as California is a community property state and New York is not. (Community property states are those that treat income earned and assets acquired during the marriage as the property of both parties, regardless of who earned more.) You’ll need to be sure you have all of the right forms and follow the rules of your state.
Complete the Paperwork
If you’re divorcing amicably, work with your spouse to set the terms of the divorce and complete paperwork together if possible. Ironing out agreements pleasantly is far less stressful and takes less time than legal battles. Otherwise, fill out the paperwork according to the terms set by the state. A lawyer can be helpful at this point, especially if you have many assets and children.
The more special situations in a relationship, the more likely it will be that you’ll need assistance – child custody and alimony are especially tricky in a do-it-yourself situation. But if you and your spouse are both employed with no children or complicated asset distribution, a do-it-yourself divorce is not much trickier than a break-up.
File and Document
A divorce, even the simplest one, takes time and money. Filing for divorce costs anywhere from $100 to $350 depending on where you live. The lawyer fees will be much more, but these might be covered by your spouse – especially if you file a fault divorce. The forms and documents might incur additional costs as well.
While you work through the proceedings, be sure you document everything in writing. Take notes of every phone call and get every promise made by your spouse in writing. Keep meticulous records as divorce can turn nasty or just get complicated, and you’ll need evidence to support your claims and statements.
Nobody seeks a divorce when they marry, but sometimes the break-up just seems inevitable. It takes time and will drain you of energy both physically and emotionally, but a finalized divorce might just be the fresh start you need to find a better life.
How To Meet a Guy Online

Let’s face it! Today’s dating world is completely different than it was in the old 1960’s drive-in movie with stale popcorn and your dad’s convertible. Between working longer and longer hours, after work routines, and family activities, it can be hard to find someone who fits the mold you are looking for. That is where online dating comes into play and meeting a guy online is the newest and best way to do it.
First, let me tell you that it is time to let go of any stigma you might have about dating online. It’s the 21rst century and it’s time for you to climb aboard and enjoy the ride. Plus, meeting someone online can be much safer for you, if done smartly, than traditional dating.
Here is how you can find a guy online and get your first date. It’s fast, it’s easy and you will be surprised how effective it is. Start by realizing that you have to go to a dating site to fill out some very basic and non intrusive information about yourself.
After you have established your own profile:
- Check your profile for any errors. It sounds odd, however, there are many men/women alike who say that a poorly spelled or grammatically incorrect profile is definitely a turn off. 90% of online profiles contain errors, make sure yours does not!
- You also need to make sure that you have a great photo posted with those pearly whites showing. Everybody loves a good smile and profiles that do not have a picture are usually ignored.
- Don’t be shy. The internet is taking away that first awkward introduction. You can forget about the communication barriers that have held you back before and let people know who you really are. In other words, BE OPEN and BE HONEST.
After you have your profile:
- Make sure that you have a great attitude towards those who try to meet you, as well as those you try to meet. You will have more fun and you’ll meet more people by showing the great attitude that you have. Besides, nobody likes a bore.
- You also need to make sure that you are ready for this type of fun. Meeting someone online is definitely an easy way for you to find someone who shares your same likes/dislikes in many areas. Be prepared and open to meet someone.
- Like they say, "Good things come to those who wait." Don’t expect to find “The one and only” right away. Get to know people and go on some fun dates. The more experience you have with meeting people online, the more you will understand what works for you.
- Make yourself a goal to date 100 men. With this goal (which is easy to meet in a year) you avoid setting yourself up for failure and increase the chance of meeting Mr. Right and not just a Mr. Right Now.
Make first contact:
- When you go to search for men, keep your initial search to your town only (you can always increase it later) Try and introduce yourself to at least 5-10 new men per week. Once you have exhausted options in your town you can increase the radius of your search.
- After you have found 5-10 men in your area, you can then try to contact them. Send them and e mail, send them an instant message, send them whatever! The point here, is to make contact.
- Make a personal email template that you send out to the men you chose. Honestly, it’s not to hard. Just write up a quick intro email, cut and copy it, then save it to your desktop. This email will help you to save a lot of time when introducing yourself to every guy you might be interested in.
- As soon as you get a response, you need to be on the ball and respond back. Men love women who show that they are interested. Don’t respond within the first five minutes (you are not desperate, and if you are, you don’t want them to know that) but respond back within a day or two. Ensure that your reply is at least three paragraphs long!
- When you do find someone that you share a great interest in, make sure to set up a phone call and then a date. Do not even think about an online relationship until at least three dates. Plan to set something up and go on that DATE! Remember to be you and to have fun.

How to Match Furniture in a Bedroom
July 17, 2008 by admin
If your bedroom is an odd assortment of furniture pieces, you may be able to make them match more easily than you think. Here’s how to match furniture in a bedroom.
Decide on a Décor
Your first step is to decide on a pattern of décor for the bedroom. Some styles are easier to use as a basis for making furniture match than others. If you have your heart set on traditional styles, you may have a harder time than casual, eclectic, or even southwestern decor. Find a kind of style your comfortable with.
Take an Assessment
Your next step is to take an assessment of what furniture is already in the room. Are there various grains of wood or just different styles? Are some pieces of the furniture modern and other pieces classical? Look at other rooms of your home for pieces that you might be able to move into the bedroom to make a more unified look.
Start with a Core
Now, find a core. Do you have two matching pieces and only one or two unusual accents? If you have two coordinating pieces, such as a chair and dresser, make those your core. Then you have only to deal with the other pieces such as night tables, headboard and accents.
Paint
One way to help match furniture in a bedroom is to paint all of the pieces the same color. You may also choose to paint only some of the pieces. For example, if you’ve selected a casual style, you may opt to paint the uncoordinated pieces a creamy white. These white pieces will offset your chair and dresser you’ve left their natural wood color.
Fabric
Another way to match furniture in a bedroom is to use fabric to simply cover up the unsightly pieces. You can easily create a headboard cover using fabric, a staple gun and some cushioning. You may even choose to create an entirely new headboard using fabric and plywood. Side tables that don’t match can be hidden under fabric tablecloths.
To make them unified, find two circles of MDF or plywood and place the circles on top of the existing tables. Then drape the new table clothes over the circles to make two round bedside tables. You may choose to make only one new round table which can still coordinate with another wooden table on the other side of the bed.
Accessories
At the very least, use pillows, curtains and runners on dressers and side tables to help bring the room together. Use the fabric in a chair, headboard or linens to select patterns and colors, then lavishly cover the room in throw pillows and drapes. Soon, your disjointed bedroom will be a comfortable, matching place of rest – even if nobody sees it but you.
How to Treat Erectile Dysfunction
July 15, 2008 by admin
When you begin experiencing problems in the bedroom, your self esteem takes a beating. Sure there are times when you’re just not in the mood or there are things on your mind, but when you have difficulty obtaining or keeping an erection time and time again, there is something else going on. Erectile Dysfunction is surprisingly common and only recently a subject discussed openly. There are many ways to overcome the condition, and only some require medication. Here are a few ideas to treat erectile dysfunction.
De-stress
Your first step to treating erectile dysfunction is to eliminate or greatly reduce your stress level. Stress is a major influence in all of the body’s systems including the reproductive one. If you’re stressed, you might be having trouble getting it up.
Check Your Blood Pressure
If you have high blood pressure, that can also be affecting your ability to get or keep an erection. Another common condition that can also cause problems is diabetes. You’ll want to keep an eye on your cholesterol as well.
Check with Your Doctor
Head to your doctor’s office armed with as much information as you have. If you’re not ready to discuss your possible ED, start with a general physical. If you discover another condition, such as high blood pressure, you might be farther on your way to discovering and treating the cause of your ED.
Try Medications
Go ahead and try the popular ED medications or the less expensive generic Viagra. Kamagra and other generic or name brand medications each work differently, so if you don’t care for one, you can always try another until you find the medication that gives you the right balance of control without any annoying side effects.
How to Strengthen Your Back
July 15, 2008 by admin
If you want to strengthen your back, you really need to be working on your abdominal muscles or abs in addition to the large trapezius muscle that covers the top of your back. To strengthen your back, you should combine a variety of muscle building exercises with excellent posture so that you’re not undermining your efforts.
Build Muscle
The first step to strengthening your back is to get approval from your doctor to begin a weight lifting routine – especially if you have prior back pain. Then, with your doctor’s approval, begin by working each set of muscles separately. You’ll need to increase strength throughout your trunk to fully support your back, so start at the top and work down.
Rowing
Rowing and shoulder presses can help to strengthen the trapezius muscle. This is a large triangular muscle that extends from the back of your neck and shoulders tapering down your spine. To build this muscle, you can work it vigorously with intense activities with a great deal of repetition.
Abdominal Work
The same can not be said for muscles in the lower back. These muscles are not as thick and strong as the trapezius, so you should be careful to not overexert your efforts. Your lower back is supported by bands of muscle that wrap around your back and sides. Start with basic crunches and crunches across the body touching your elbow to your knee to build the large ab muscle and work a bit on the sides.
Then use a machine or the guidance of a personal trainer to twist while holding weights effectively using the side bands of muscle. Side bends with light weights will also help to strengthen the sides of the abdomen. Finally, dead lifts or carefully lifting weights from the floor to your knees will strengthen the muscles of your lower back.
Posture
The muscle work will help to increase your posture, and better posture will help your muscles support your trunk more effectively.
Other Strengthening Ideas
You can also use supplements to build muscle more quickly, but be sure to read supplement reviews to find the most suitable program for your needs. Also, if you are not comfortable with weights or lack a gym and proper supervision, a Pilates program or video can do a great deal of work strengthening your back and midsection.
How to Lose Weight
July 15, 2008 by admin
>All of the television commercials and emails we receive make it seem simple to lose weight. Take a pill, buy this book, try this special meal plan and in recent years, have this surgery. Losing weight isn’t necessarily challenging, but it does require effort and a commitment. To change your body, you’ll have to change your routines and possibly your whole lifestyle. Here’s how to lose weight.
Understand Calories
Calories are individual sources of energy. Your body needs energy to perform its daily functions and the number of calories a person actually needs in a day varies by what he does and his size and age. For example, a teenage boy requires thousands of calories a day to keep up with his activities and his body as it grows literally inches a month. A thirty-five year old man is less likely to be playing football or basketball after school and is only growing out at this point, so he needs far less calories. The amount of muscle you have will also increase the number of calories you require.
Excess Calories
If you eat more calories than your body needs to complete its daily tasks, the extra calories are stored in the body as fat. The more calories you consume over your body’s required amount the more fat is stored in the body.
Reducing Calories
The first step to losing weight is to reduce the number of calories you consume on a daily basis. As it is better to burn calories rather than starve them away, you’ll want to reduce calories by no more than 1000 per day over the span of a week or two and increase your activity level.
Activity Level
Calories are designed to be burned. This means that if you continue to sit on the couch but simply stop eating, you will lose weight, but most of that weight won’t be a long-term loss. Your metabolism, or burn rate, will dramatically slow effectively burning fewer calories over time. Then, once you stop the particular diet, your metabolism burns fewer of the calories you’re now consuming again and the weight piles back on.
Instead of a simple diet, increase your activity level to burn 500 or 1000 calories a day. A brisk one hour walk will burn 350 calories. Combine a one hour walk with a slight reduction in calories and you’ll find your weight loss goals much more easily met.
A Weight Loss Plan
If you are serious about losing weight, you should make two changes. The first is to increase the amount of healthy foods you eat and reduce the unhealthy ones. Don’t diet per se, but do replace fattening chips with rice cakes or whole wheat crackers. Skip the ice cream and have sorbet. Track how many calories you’re actually consuming to keep it close to how many your body actually uses on a day without the extra exercise. This will help to keep your metabolism up. By simply switching from high calorie foods to lower ones, you’ll be eliminating hundreds of calories from your diet.
Increase your activity level dramatically. Take the stairs at work and walk when possible. If you can’t get to a gym or take a long walk, try to do short bursts of activities during the day. Get your heart pounding as often as possible. Even standing or stretching while watching television burns far more calories. Walking in place or on a treadmill while you watch your favorite shows burns even more. The more calories you burn and the more muscle you build, the faster the fat will come off.
